For as long as We can remember, European Doberman Dogs have been our soul passion in life. From growing up training our own Dogs as well as our neighbours, to intently watching Dog shows as children, our love and passion for dogs has always been a huge focal point in our life.
During one of these Dog shows, We introduced ourself to a friendly American couple who lived beside us. In turn, they introduced us to their 1 year old, blind European Doberman Dog named Penny. After a year and half of research into the breed, speaking to countless breeders and meeting more European Doberman dogs, We knew We were hooked and couldn’t live without one.
Years later, We bought our first European Doberman puppy from Utah. From getting into anything he could to being a complete terror, he not only ignited our love for the Breed, he found a permanent spot in our hearts.
Vision Statement
With extensive knowledge in Dobermans, veterinary medicine and training we at Lusty Doberman Puppies Home put a large focus on pedigrees, with a strong understanding of temperament, looks, and genetics. With the intent to better the breed, and continue the work from previous breedings, the Dobermans chosen for the program at Lusty Doberman are carefully handpicked. Lusty Doberman Puppies Home follows the Orthopaedic Foundation of America, with a focus on gold-standard health testing previsions. The Dobermans brought into the program are both FCI and CKC registered. Full health testing includes annual heart screenings (Echo and Holter), full blood work, OFA hip screening, DNA testing for Thyroid, and vWD. They are regularly vet checked, fully vaccinated, and are on regular deworming/flea and tick prevention.

OUR FEATURES
European Doberman dogs are our love and passion, not a business. They are and forever will be the centre-part of our home. We do expect each and every Puppy We place in their forever homes to have the care they would have with me – if not better.
Our long-term goal for our breeding program is to preserve the breed as we know and love it. As a Preservation Breeder, our goal is to take the guesswork out of your next Dog’s history, health, predicted size, temperament, and life expectancy. We have a lifelong commitment to each and every European Doberman German Rottweiler We bring in to this world and will take any of our Dogs back for any reason at any time.
For those who share a strong passion for the breed as We do, We are always willing to serve as a mentor and guide throughout the Dog’s life as our owners navigate through Dog ownership. We are purely dedidoged to breeding solely for the purpose of preserving and protecting the original purpose and function of the breed by creating companions that are healthy, of sound body and mind, and predictable in nature.
Our mission at Hefty Dobermanrottie Home is to ensure an engineered approach to managing our dogs in such a way that it is efficient and enjoyable for the dog as well as the handler. Efficiency is key because it optimizes the quality of the task like for example if we are grooming our dogs, we use the most useful grooming table that has anti slip matting on it with leash hooks and side draws to accommodate dry shampoo/perfumes/flea treatments etc.
All our equipment to manage our dogs is researched and then purchased using a plan that addresses the needs of our dogs combined with the up to date tools to manage our Rottweilers in an engineered method. We use a bespoke management system that gives me and my team an outline set of principles to manage our Special Rottys. These cover feeding/cleaning/training/
Comfort compliments unnecessary barking and enhances drive in training for our dogs so we ensure that we supply a relaxing environment for our Rottweilers and Doberman. We use soft horse matting as a base for our kennels and anywhere where the dogs may be sitting or sleeping on as this avoids soars on their elbow and hind legs. External cabins that we locate under our oak trees are floored with fresh quality straw for two reasons. The first when the dogs are coming in and out in the rain it acts as a dryer for their coat and the second reason is that it acts as a complete natural product allowing the energy from the ground to supply vital grounding energy to support their immune system which supports longevity in our dog’s life. We dot around purpose-built dog sunbeds for them to comfortably lay on a sunny day to soak up the vit d for their bones.
We have set up the kennel systems in a ‘U’ shape with our training ground in the centre. This allows free entertainment and education to the dogs that are not being trained to watch. We find it amuses them like watching a TV soap for humans but there is a further benefit, the dogs soak up mentally the training we are doing so we start to see them picking up training quicker because they have seen their kennel mates being trained! For whelping females and puppies, we use under floor heating professionally fitted. This is due to the fact that the fragile nature of pregnant mothers and newborn puppies need heat from the ground upwards as their bodies are not such that they can survive on heat coming from ‘top to down’ so they use it to regulate the warmth under the stomach area and limbs.
An indoor training area Is purpose built for cleaner and dryer training sessions whilst raining. We use a lot of cosy dog beds planted around our house/ office for trained dogs but twin the beds with dog cages for untrained puppies so they learn from their seniors to lay in their bed whilst me and our team are working.
At Hefty Dobermanrottie Home we have built large group exercise paddocks on our land. This is where we allow 5-10 dogs that are socially compatible to play with each other for 2hrs daily on our fields. They have their outdoor cabins in there if it was to rain but this facility allows them positive self-regulated socialization and exercise. We have 4 cameras on each paddock that are monitored by our duty manager. I have trained all of our dogs to run behind my Quad bikes around our land that makes an enjoyable running routine for targeted exercise for specific dogs.
The kennel size for our dogs is spacious enough for them to relax as I am a believer in a calm kennel environment and allowing necessary room for our giants helps towards cultivating this culture in our kennels. I am the only Rottweiler and Doberman breeder in the who is continuously enhancing my training skills so the application of my dog training gives me well behaved dogs so we can afford to have some of them roaming around our 6 acre site with specific outdoor cabins situated for their beds.
To breed a dog with so much character and intelligence, adequate space is key!
